Whis is a better diet? Adkins or 800 calories a day NOT counting fruits and veges

neither is healty- people on the adkins diet some times suffer from clogged arteries because they are eating so much meat and not enough other nutrients. and 800 calories a day can barely sustain someone- you are going to get sick of that real fast and quit- i suggest portion control split your meals so you have fve smaller meals a day- it will keep you from getting hungry. Drink lots of water and do not forget exercise. Try and make your diet fun or else you will not stick with it.

    Consult a dietician. Both are horrible for you, and I would bet about equally to each other. Neither starving yourself nor cutting out an entire *necessary* food group is healthy.

    Depending on your size, you need around 2000 calories. You also need carbs - they are how your body gets energy. You just need those 2000 calories to be a good balance, and most people's diets aren't.
