Weight loss/energy loss?
I’m a 20 year old female who is still in the healthy weight range, i’m about 5"5 and weigh around 60 kilos, but I have decided I want to lose a few kilos. I had a pretty unhealthy diet, eating a LOT of lollies, so had a very high sugar intake. Over the last two weeks I have cut all junk food from my diet. In the last week or so I have been very tired, extreme lack of energy, and I am just wondering whether that might be my body not being used to living without all that sugar or if i should be concerned that it is because of something else?
Sounds like you just need to get used to not eating sugar.

Make sure you’re eating enough food to give you energy. You need a balanced diet - some sugar, some fat, lots of lean protein, fruit and veggies.

Are you drinking enough water? It can help keep weight and disease off and has other amazing qualities.

Try exercising and if it continues, see a Doctor….

Its normal to feel this at first till your body gets used to it…then once your body is used to having healthy foods…the sugar and junk food will actually make you feel worse…just keep at it..and drink alot of water…and def dont starve yourself…you will have your energy back before you know it.
oh and by the way 5′5 and 132 isnt overweight at all…

You should get checked out by a doctor - it could be diabetes - my neice had a total crash, like you’re talking about & almost wound up in a coma. You could also have hypoglycemia, if your sugar levels are drastically different from what you’re used to. Also, low thyroid hormone has these symptems - so you should really go to a doc - not rely on anything you read or see on the internet or what anyone tells you without seeing you & having a bonifide medical background.

You might want to reach for nature’s fast food to give you an energy boost when you feel sluggish. I usually reach for an apple, and I stay away from coffee and caffeine.
Another "pick me up" is protein. Worth noting is that the exception to this is turkey. Turkey has an amino acid that triggers the seratonin in your brain–and that’s why you feel tired after eating (too much) of it.
BTW, drink more water to flush the years of toxins you have been consuming. I applaud you on your lifestyle change. Just remember that initially its not each, and be persistent!!! Don’t give up. A new habit takes 21 days before your mind accepts it.
Hope this helps. Best of luck to you.

That sounds like a problem I have. Your feeling of being tired is probably because you have a low blood sugar level and your not eating the right foods. Eating the lollies all of the time kept your sugar level up, Eating 3 good meals a day with plenty of veggies and increasing the carbs that your taking in each day will eliminate that tired feeling you have. If your not over weight just keep eating the lollies.
