   Because Jamie McMurray does not come across as an outdoors kind of guy. Newman and Truex’s fishing exploits are well documented. And if your idea of New Jersey comes from the Sopranos, you’ll be sadly disappointed with South Jersey. Jamie Mac wasn’t really even a good fit for Crown Royal and Irwin Tools either.
   AJ, what this person doesn’t understand is Truex comes from a rather rural area of NJ(yes they do exsist), and spent most of his life fishing the back bays of the Jersey Shore. Once again someone goes by the media portayal of NJ.

   Who said that sponsors had to reflect what the driver’s interests are? They are just told what car to drive, and they go out and drive it. It doesn’t really matter who’s name is on the hood for them, as long as the name above the door matches theirs, and they are being paid to drive that car.

    It is kind of an awkward fit. I don’t see why he didn’t fit with Crown Royal, though. A classy guy would drink something like that. I haven’t really ever heard him say anything about liking hunting and fishing much, though. He seems more like a physical fitness person. I could imagine him running, golfing, hiking. Anyways, those other guys have a lot of attention drawn to the fact that they enjoy hunting and fishing. But it doesn’t really matter. The car and sponsorship were there and Jamie Mac needed a ride. So, he took what he could get. Who knows? Maybe he just never makes it a point to tell people that he does indeed hunt and fish. Kasey Kahne fits just fine as the face of Budweiser, too. I think Bud Light would have been a little more appropriate, as there were pictures of him drinking it in the past. But he isn’t the snob some people imagine.
