Medifast Diet- has it worked for you?

Yazar: admin April 13, 2010

I’m 21, f and seriously overweight/obese and I would love to try the Medifast diet. Have any of you tried it? What was your weight loss per week/total weight loss over a certain amount of time?? How was the food? The cost seems less than other plans out there. Any advice is appreciated!!

I have been on the Medifast plan for a little over 3 months (started Jan 4). I started at 460 pound and am currently at 382 (78 pounds)! I have tried so many other diets and weird meal plans that I never thought I was going to lose the weight. Once I was told about Medifast and then read about it for myself I figured I had nothing to lose except for the initial cost of the first month. It was worth it to me to at least try.
I am a very lazy person, but because the plan is pretty much a no-brainer, it is working for me! I have an alarm that is set for each meal time and I just quickly shake up a drink, unwrap a bar, or nuke up some soup and go on about my day. So convenient! The biggest challenge was portioning my one ‘lean and green’ meal, but after a few days I actually didn’t WANT TO eat a large portion. Since the meals are balanced nutritionally, I am not hungry, so when it gets to ‘real food’ time, I have control to eat a reasonable portion!
As for the Medifast food, some is good, some is not. Tastes vary! The guy who is sort of my mentor like some things I don’t and vice-versa. For example, he loves the cappuccinos, I really don’t. I actually enjoy the chili, he’s not a fan. The thing to realize though is that after your first order, you can customize what you want and go from there. Bottom line is, it works so well, I don’t care what it tastes like.
The way I see it, I have indulged so much to get to the weight I am at, I can stand to consume some things are aren’t exactly what I want in the name of my health. It tears me up not to have any pizza, but then I look at the scale and say, "Pizza, we will meet again, when I can control myself and actually enjoy your goodness." It is so much more fun and satisfying to read that scale every couple of days than it is to eat that pizza, I swear.
