Question About the Medifast Diet?
Yazar: admin October 24, 2009For those that don’t know about the Medifast diet, you’re only allowed 800-1000 calories per day. However, isn’t that dangerously low? Nonetheless, it seems like everyone that uses this diet loses weight. Would I be able to create my own diet with the same amount of calories, or is there something in Medifast’s food specially designed to help you lose weight?
For anyone that has used Medifast have you had any negative effects?
Also, the MD football coach has been on the diet and lost over 100 pounds by eating 1000 calories per day. However, the bigger you are, the more calories you’re supposed to have correct? How is he able to survive off of 1000 calories per day? And how do you lose 100 pounds without exercising?
Here’s a link to the story of the coach.

A good friend of mine started the Medifast Diet about 6 months ago and has had tremendous success with it. I believe he’s already lost over 45lbs. He documented his weight loss at http://www.mydietexperience.com, where you can see his before and after pictures.
As far as I know (from speaking with him), there isn’t anything in the Medifast meals that is specially designed to help you lose weight. They instead maximize vitamins and minerals within the meals so that you get a lot of energy.
