Has anyone tried Nutrisystem? How does the food taste and does it work?
Yazar: admin October 29, 2008I want to try nutrisystem but, want some input as to how the food taste and if you feel full and satisfied after you eat. Does it really work?
Some of the foods taste o.k. while others taste BAD! That's probably why people lose weight on the diet. The commercial makes it sound as if you are sent all the food you need but you have to buy lots of fruit, veggies and breads to supplement what they send you. One of the few "chocolates" that was included with the meals was a biscuit, kind of like Melba toast, that was tasty but hard as a rock! Nearly all of the food is still sitting in my cupboard. I'm just waiting for their expiration date to soon expire so I'll have that as an excuse to just pitch it! If I had it to do over, I would have spent my hard-earned money on low-cal Lean Cuisines as the main course and ate 5 to 6 small meals spaced three hours apart.
Further CONS:
No personal relationship with a counselor face to face (for those who need a diet that holds them accountable)
No support group
Pre-packaged foods, not fresh ( a lot of the containers are those small, microwavable styrofoam cups that are 7.5 oz. and the paper cups that are less than 2 oz.)

Go ahead and try it. The food is not bad at frist but you will get tired of it very quickly. It is a good way to get started on a better diet.

I found a few of the items edible but most of it was gross.
Warning…you don't get to pick the week of free food items. They ship you a pre-selected week of food items and you have to exchange the items if you don't like them.
The "burgers" Dan Marino refers to are freeze dried and you have to reconstitute the patty with hot water. The pudding was gritty.
However, the soy pretzels were OK and the breakfast cereal was OK as well.
The portion are very small and you have to add a good amount of fresh items.
Be prepared to sit on the phone and wait to speak to a customer service rep. The call I made to cancel took 40 minutes of hold time but I was determined not to get another auto-shipment.
I sold my last shipment on eBay and recovery about 1/3 of my investment.
Not a big fan of the food or the program.
