does the south beach diet really work?

I’ve just started the south beach diet. I workout 5 days a week and would really like to find a lifestyle change, not just a diet.

YES YES YES!!!!! I lost 50 pounds and my hubby lost 40. It does take a while. It is a slow diet. I would just like to say, if you are going to cheat, you cant! Not in the first phase. If you can make it 2 weeks you will be good. I lost weight like crazy in the first phase and it slowed a little in the second phase but still good weight loss. I did cheat a little in the second phase but the key is to jump right back on the boat. If you have to have a piece of candy, go ahead but then go back on the schedule. I wanna go back on it. Oh, and 1 more thing, you do feel good in your first phase but I would suggest not working out until you get to the second phase. I did that and almost passed out because I didnt have any carbs in my body, well enough carbs. Good Luck to you.
